HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

So.....this was supposed to be my Christmas card picture for this year! But.....if you look closely my sweet little angel decided to pick this moment to play with the positioning of her fingers! Now.....do you see why I didn't use this one and opted for a close-up! LOL
Hope everyone has had a great 2008 so far. The Berni Family has been very busy since the last post. For starters...2 weeks after Thanksgiving, Meagan & Emma ventured over to Quantico, VA to spend the weekend visiting with Jay since he had a break from school. Drove over on Friday and came back to Ohio on Monday ( 8 hours each way). Then 2 weeks after that, Meagan and Emma drove down to Atlanta, GA to spend Christmas with the Berni side of the family as it was their year to have us. Meagan drove down on Wednesday and Jay flew into ATL late Friday evening. It was a pretty short trip as Jay had to be back in his dorm by midnight on Christmas Day. Short trip but well worth the time to see him!
On the 27th Emma and Meagan drove to her sister, Tara's, house in Florence, SC (5 1/2 hours) to spend the night and do Christmas with Meagan's family before driving up to Quantico for New Years. Friday morning they woke up and drove the 7 more hours to get to Jay. Luckily this was a little longer trip as we were able to visit for 5 more days.
The Berni girl's east coast tour ended on the 2nd of January when we finally made it back to Ohio. So..... 30 hours and some 1500 miles later the holidays are officially over! We are glad that the driving is done for a little while but already trying to plan our next visit with Jay/Daddy.Here's a picture that was taken right after Emma had gotten her bath on Saturday. When Meagan was getting her out of the tub she insisted on having a towel wrapped around her head like Mommy does. It was just too cute not to take a picture of!
Picture of Emma ready to go to church on Sunday. This is the highlight of her weekend since she gets to see her "friends"! She always enjoys Children's Church where the color pictures or make some sort of craft project every week. She also sees a couple of the kids on Fridays when we go to the playgroup at the church as well.
