Camp Out with Daddy

Well we finally has a beautiful night that was not too cool/not too hot for Jay to break out the tent and camp with Emma in the backyard. We had been saying for a while that we need to have a little camp out in the backyard as a trial run for actually taking her camping somewhere overnight. So Jay got the tent out and Emma even helped him get it all put up. She got the sleeping bags out and arranged them in the tent like she wanted. Of course I think she brought everything but the kitchen sink out there with her as well. She was so excited when she heard she was going to get to sleep outside (or as she says "out in nature") that she had her jammies on before it was even dark outside. She was ready for bed!

Brody had to come and check things out!

Jimmy and I had a nice quiet evening INSIDE....don't think he is quite ready for camping yet. We are hoping he will be next spring/summer so that we can take a family camping trip for a weekend.
