Our little man, Jimmy, is 8 weeks old today!!! Boy has time flown by and he is changing more and more every day. I think he looks just like Jay....very handsome!! :) He had his 2 month Dr. appointment today and here are his latest stats...he weighs 9lbs. and is now 21 1/4 inches long. The Dr. says Jimmy is doing very well. He has gained exactly 3 pounds since he was born and has from 1 3/4 inches. He is very petite....only in the 5th percentile group. But she says that is normal since he was 3 weeks early and was a 2 vessel chord baby. If you back him up to if he had been born at 40 weeks and not early he would be in the 50th percentile. Also since he as a 2 vessel chord baby they want to do a renal ultrasound to check his kidneys and their function. Kidney issues is the main complication from having a 2 vessel chord. Dr. says that he looks perfect and that there is nothing wrong that she can see but they always do the ultrasound in this case as a precaution. We will be having that done sometime towards the end of this month and will keep you posted as to what, if anything, they find.
For those of you who do not know I had only 2 vessels in my umbilical chord whereas the normal chord has 3 vessels. Hence why I had SOOOO many ultrasounds done While I was pregnant so that they could monitor Jimmy's growth!
